Great toy for cats with a high prey drive. My kitten who is very active loves this toy but my older cat that has little to no prey drive is not interested at all. It’s very loud on hard floors and scares my cats more than anything unless it’s on carpet. Overall if you have an active cat that likes to hunt and a place to put this on carpet or a rug I’d recommend it.

I've been looking for a toy on the larger size that my cat can play with. Something he doesn't have to just chase, and something I don't have to be part of. He likes to wrestle with this toy and run away from it, and then pounce on it. It keeps him entertained on his own. Brilliant idea.

The first day they were not real sure if they liked them. They make some mechanical gear noise. But, once they got used to it and learned batting them or pouncing makes them move they went bonkers over them. I have to charge them a few times a day they use them so much. The movement of the tail is random. Sometimes it will flip 3 or 4 times then stop, others it will flip around for 20 or 30 seconds. Overall a great price for both add in the fact that they're rechargeable and it delivers well above the price range. We have had them about a week and they are holding up to the punishment delivered by two active kittens who are *not* declawed.

I bought this on a whim to see if either of my cats would like it to play with. One of them took ownership within about an hour. She fetches it she plays with it all the time. She brings it to me like a gift. She easily runs down the battery every day and a half for two days because she’s constantly playing with it.

I was worried our cats wouldn't play with the fish but we had to give it a try after seeing funny cat vids. While one of our cats dismisses it - the other will attack and roll, play herself all out with the fish :). The mechanical noise isn't silent. It isn't loud but we don't leave the fish on at night because the cat would wake someone up playing with it lol. I will say it is not loud enough to disturb low volume tv watching.

Purchased a pair of these several months ago, and our cat still loves playing with them. She was very timid with this at first, but now I’ll hear her suddenly playing with it by herself when we are in the other room. She’s very rough with them, so the surface fabric is showing bite marks and wear now, from heavy use, but still works perfectly.Also, I like having two of these�?so we have one charging while the other is being used, then swap out when needed. I’ll throw her blanket over a fish to hide it, and she will pretend she doesn’t know where it is and will pounce on the blanket and burrow in there to find it. Great purchase!

Just as the ad states, cats go wild for these flipping fish. If your cat doesn't stay happy with these fish, try this trick. When you go shopping pick up a small bottle of Fish oil the sent will do the rest or you could use a bit of tuna fish on it. Just remember to wash the fish off after game play is over, no use in getting sick over contaminated fish.

I loved this toy. I actually got it for my dogs and one hated it and the other killed it and tried to shred it and once it was destroyed and no longer functioning she walked away. So i give it five stars because i bet for cats it is great but dogs not so much. It was a hoot to watch it flop around.

These are great toys for cats. My one cat was a little freaked out at first, but then she really got into it after watching the fish flop around awhile. The battery is long lasting before you have to recharge. The package comes with 2 fish and 2 charging cords that are USB.

This is a really interesting cat toy. However, both of my cats are afraid of the movement :P But if you have an animal that loves to pounce on moving objects, this would be perfect! It is motion sensitive and seems to be able to take a beating.

Can’t decide between one star and five! He LOVES this toy so much I need another for when the battery needs recharging. That’s the five star part. On the other hand, he loves this toy so much he plays with it day and NIGHT when I’m trying to sleep, cries and complains when it gives out, and sits and stares at it while it’s on the charger until he can have it back! That’s the 1star part!Seriously. Buy your cat one and give it to him and you can go away while he’s playing with it and he won’t even notice.

Younger cat, rolls with it, lays on it, swats it around. If it is laying motionless, she will go up and sniff it, then the fun starts. I giggles whenever she is into the full blown attack mode with it. Best cat toy I have ever bought.

So we actually purchased this for my son after seeing it advertised for like thirty or forty dollars on a baby site. It's the same exact thing. My son loves to play with it and flop it around the house. It was purchased a while ago but I do recall there being like cat treats or something that came with it which we promptly discarded because we don't have pets.

This was fun for a very short time. My dogs were fascinated and were fighting each other to try to play with it. A little while later it got quiet in the room. I saw one of them chewing the inside plastic piece. They had gotten the velcro open and took out the inside piece that makes it flop. Game over. I had to take it away. Now it is just a plain toy and not very fun. They have not played with it since. I think the manufacturer should use a different type of closure as the velcro is no match for dogs.

While my girl goes wild for this toy , we only use , and recommend use with supervision.The fish does not have enough padding or secure - other than a velcro strip - to keepthe plastic mechanism box inside from being chew proof.Charges fast, with long battery life. On / Off switch inside on mechanism box.Fish lies still until it`s touched, even gently, then it flops it`s tail to excite my dog.I would`nt call it especially durable ...We put her fish up, and never leave in the toy box.Use with caution.

I bought this as a two pack for my dog. On arriving I charged one of them but the motion sensor didn’t work. (I am waiting on a response from the vendor about a replacement). The other one works fine and my dog likes playing with it. He hasn’t been too rough with it yet so I am hoping it will last a long time. It's made really well, and I have no trouble accessing the switch or the recharging port. One review on this product suggested adding catnip to entice your cats. I MUST add it because my cats just stare at the fish and barely touch it. It really doesn't have highly-sensitive motion detection, which means I have to give it a firm tap it to get it moving -- and get that catnip inside it. They LOVE LOVE LOVE catnip. I'll add it soon and finish/edit this review.

The cats are barely interested. The toy is noisy and flops on its side, it does not do flips. Like I said, it's a goofy pet toy and for the price/no batteries (USB works in phone chargers) I would buy it again. We have way too many cat toys but I keep buying them because really, you never know which one will be "The One" until you gift it to them

Both animals not sure about it jumping around and dog is not interested. But the cat loves it (when not jumping) and keeps it with him most of the time. Sleeps with it too. Only time he leaves it is to go eat and drink, or sand box.
